L'oréal - Rouge Caresse in 03 Lovely Rose, 202 Impulsive Fuschia, 203 Rock 'n Mauve and 401 Rebel Red
Hi lovelies! I'm back with another review. I saw the L'oréal Rouge Caresse in a Dutch modelling programme The Face for the first time and that made me want to buy and to try! They are €14,99 each, which is a bit pricey for a drug store lipstick. But now and then there is sale in the Dutch drug stores. I picked up the Lovely Rose, Impulsive Fuschia, Rock 'n Mauve and Rebel Red. I chose these colours because I find them one of the most pigmented and the very edgy colour.
.I was definitely not a lipstick person, but last year my interest for lipstick grew. But the winter made my lips very very bad. Not only I was dealing with chapped and dry lips, like everyone else, but my lips became worse! It was in a state that when the weather was so dry, there was juice coming out of my lips. Even dabbing it with a tissue all the time, it won't stop. It's hard to explain in English and I also didn't know what it was. Even searching on Google gave no results. So I went to the doctor and he said that my lips can't handle any thing like lip balms, lipsticks or other beauty lip products and I only could use the crème provided by my doctor. The reason is probably the very dry weather together with bacteria and certain ingredients in lip products. I also had it two years ago, but it recovered during spring. But now, even in spring it didn't heal 100%. Which is such a bummer, because now, I still can't wear lipstick. The juice stopped since the spring, but my lips are still dry and chapped and I also need to scrub my lips frequently. I avoid wearing lipsticks now and hope it will keep healing to the state were I can wear lipsticks comfortably again.
ANYWAYS, the moral of the story is: I can't give a depth review about the 4 L'oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks that I bought. I haven't wear these for daily basis due medical reasons. Therefore I can only show you swatches and tell my impressions about these.
Let's get back to the Rouge Caresse lipsticks:
Don't just stroke your lips, Caresse them. Lips say yes to this Caresse. A flutter of kissably soft light-weight feeling colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a lumious shine. Available in 10 bright and eye catching
1. Weightless sensation.
2. Luminous and Fresh colour
3. Meltingly soft application.
4. Pop of colour
5. Flutter on your lips
6. New sensation
7. Feather light feel
My first impression was that the bullets looked so pigmented and colourful! The packaging is very nice too. Only I had a hard time taking of the alarm sticker. It ruined my whole lipstick! I really hate some drug stores that put the alarm sticker on products, but also seal it all around with tape. That's explains the glue leftovers on the packaging. Despite the pigmented looking bullets, these are actually very sheer and creamy, As you can see from the swatches on my hand. I like the sheerness of the lipstick because you can build it up. For someone who don't dare to wear very pigmented lip colour, like me, it's very nice to give you a wash of natural colour on your lips. All four lipsticks are very very creamy! I really love Impulse Fuschia, Rock 'n Mauve and Rebel Red. Because of the very eye catching colours and the creaminess and texture of those three. It feels like putting lip balm. The same for Lovely Rose, but the Lovely Rose will get into the lines of my lips.Which is pretty ugly.
03 Lovely Rose: a baby pink colour with a too creamy/watery texture, which will go into the lines of my lips.
202 Impulsive Fuschia: a very pretty buildable colour. It can give a nice natural wash of colour to my lips to an edgy and eye caching lippies.
203 Rock 'n Mauve: a pretty mauve colour with to spice my lips up
204 Rebel Red: a sheer red-orange lipstick to give more colour to my lips.
My favourites are the last three: Impulsive Fuschia, Rock 'n Mauve and Rebel Red. If someone also tried these lipsticks, can you please let me know if these lipsticks make your lips dry after a day of wear?
See you soon in my next post!
