Seoul • Princess Diary Café
Always wanted to wear a Hanbok or a Wedding Dress? At Princess Diary Café you can actually wear them and have a little photoshoot with your friends.
I have been introduced this by my roomie Carita. Since I have worn an hanbok before the first time I was in Korea, I really wanted to try a wedding dress. I think it's every girl's dream to wear one before their real wedding.
Fortunately when we came in the café with my roomies, we were the only ones: the more choices we have in the dresses and hanboks. First thing to do is to take a seat and you have to order a drink per person. Then you let them know who is going to wear what: hanbok or wedding dress. The costs is actually per dress, so you could wear them both if you want.
For the hanboks, you can choose the model and color per top and skirt. They will hand out little pictures which you can combine them and see which combination you want to wear. The prettier the styles are, the more expensive it will be. As for the wedding dresses, you can pick and choose. They have a lot of different styles! But also: the prettier they are, the more expensive they will be. I am not sure, but I think the price ranges from cheap to 45.000/50.000won. Carita and I chose the same kind of style, but mine was a bit more expensive due to the fact it was a newer dress.
Don't worry if you can fit in the dress or not - the employee has her tricks to fit you in any dress no matter what. They also have accessoires for you and a studio lamp for you to play with. You do have to do your makeup beforehand.
